BYOND Key: GreenTea98 Complaining Against: Falaskian Time of Incident (GMT+1): 2:15 AM Explanation: So, I'm a drone at roundstart because it's easier than playing engineer. Ignoring humans is pretty much my job, right? I'm pretty good at it, I do it as a nondrone anyway. So, first things first, I go and set up the engine, except there's an engineer there who was played by Falaskian. First things first, I start setting it up by dragging n2o into the engine room. He bwoinks me for this, saying I'm not allowed to do things when a human's present. That's fine, I go supercharge atmos. Get an alarm in engineering, the SM's going fucking bonkers because he forgot to set the vents AND IS FIXING IT WITH ADMIN POWERS WHILE I FIX IT MYSELF. Didn't know you were allowed to do that, but so I set the vents properly and feed it more n2o. Get bwoinked again, and this one's really nice. "You're not allowed to fix things broken by players". As a drone, designed to repair the station after the players fuck it up. Do you see the issue here? Not to mention, literally fixing their own fuckup with admin powers. Edit: I just checked back up on the engine, it was just as I left it, he never finished setting up the emitters and SMES after fixing it with admin powers. Am I to do it, or not? Next round, he yells at me for fixing the SM to clear a fire alarm. If I don't, I'm not repairing and maintaining the station, breaking the rules. If I do, I'm somehow interacting with a human, breaking the rules. Does he just not want people to play drone?

It's more that the current mindset that seems to be held for drones is that they shouldnt have any major impact on the round. The only time a drone is allowed to touch the SM if it has been set up by a human is if a meteor has stopped it from working. If the human made a mistake/sabotaged it; the drone must not stop that. It does seem somewhat arbitrary at times, As an example, a Drone cant repair a breach caused by a carp or player until that carp/player is considered "Done" with the breach. But unless you can read minds, you can only make a subjective guess as to when that is.
Altough i was on that round you're referencing; It seemed pretty clear you were breaking drone laws at the time; and the Sm started to delaminate because of the mixup between yours and falaskians setups

Nnnnah. It started to delaminate because he improperly set the vents, that's how I fixed it, all while ignoring the human present. Also, like I said, he'd LEFT engineering because I saw him on his way out. He sat on the sidelines while I fixed it myself. I didn't KNOW it was Falaskian untill later, anyone could have used the name "Fala Skian", and if anything, if they did use that name, it would only make me assume it's not actually them. Literally everyone else I've seen tries to interact with drones in some way while I'm playing as them and appreciates it when they do the work for them, so if I'm fixing the engine while an engie sits on the sidelines, how am I supposed to know if he's sitting there because he's typing up an admin PM? You said it yourself, I can't read minds, all I can do is fix stuff. It wasn't SABOTAGE the first time around. And yes, it's incredibly arbitrary, especially when Falaskians end all be all is "if a human broke it don't fix it" when humans break almost everything, including windows. So, if someone dumps a maxcap outside of the bridge and there's a massive breach, are they just supposed to not fix it? It says if you don't follow your laws as a drone, you will be banned from them. Here I am following them to the best of my degree while actively ignoring any humans, and I'm in trouble anyway? Do you see the issue now?

Also, this is neither here nor there, but are we going to ignore that he was fixing the engine he fucked up with build mode to fix the atmos? And that he's admitted to spamming events and hallucinations just because he was bored and it was extended?

And that he's admitted to spamming events and hallucinations just because he was bored and it was extended? I have to agree with the last thing green said. I was playing and Falaskian started spamming hallucinations for about 5-10 mins. This was very annoying and ressentially resulted in being stunned for about 10s frequently because of the fact most of the hallucinations stun (like the fake death, rat swarm etc.) I asked them about it and they kinda of just said "i wanted something interesting to happen" (see attatchments) I dont think its right to just mess with players like that, especially considering the lowpop the server was at. As someone who was admin on beestation pre-ssethtide, when we had maybe 5-10 players on at once, I understand that it can be slow when there is nothing to do in an extended round. However, you could always create some RP-ish events or goals, such as centcom asking for a favour and offering a reward, or the chaplains god coming down before him; not just spam stun effects. Please dont drive players away.Edit: I should probably mention that the hallucinations were so annoying it causes people to call the shuttle just to end the round. Attachments:

green, the vents at the time were set to neither internal nor external. Thats not a wrongful setting. It's basically the same as setting it to internal 0. It will always pump. What you changed it to, external 5066, is on the other hand seen as poor; as it would stop the vents if the pressure in the chamber ever got above 5066. which means if things start delaminating for some reason; the cooling system would stop functioning. What stopped the delamination was Falaskian going to atmos and pumping gas from there; he was doing that at the same time as you were changing the vent settings. This wasnt build mode. And yes; if someone bombs the front of the bridge; you as a drone is expected not to repair that. It may be that persons plan to kill people using the breach. Fixing it would then be against the drone laws as they are currently written.
